CoordCap recognizes and converts coordinates on your iPhone. We do not run a server that receives your images or coordinate lists. Network services, exports, backups and support are explained below.

Images, coordinates and local storage
Camera frames and images you select are processed on your device using Apple’s recognition technology. Coordinate calculations use the bundled PROJ library. CoordCap does not upload those images or coordinate lists to a developer server.
The app stores preferences, transformation selections, recent choices, the last live capture, saved results and downloaded grid files locally as needed for its features. Saved results can be deleted in the app. Deleting the app removes its local app data; offloading the app may retain that data. Exported copies and device backups are separate and must be managed separately.
Apple device or iCloud backups may include app data depending on your settings. CoordCap does not provide its own cloud account or synchronization service.
Camera, photos and location
Camera access is used to read coordinates when you use capture features. Image import uses images you choose. Optional location access helps fill your current coordinates or find relevant reference systems. CoordCap requests location while using the app, not continuous background location tracking.
You can manage permissions in iOS Settings. If you deny a permission, the related feature may be unavailable; manual coordinate entry remains available.
Grid downloads, maps and sharing
Some transformations require additional grid files. When you check availability or download a grid, the app contacts cdn.proj.org. The service receives the requested filename, your IP address and normal connection information. CoordCap does not include your images or coordinate lists in these requests.
Map views use Apple’s MapKit services. Displaying map content can send map-area and connection information to Apple, handled under Apple’s Maps privacy information.
If you export, copy or share results, the destination you select receives that content. Other apps, file providers and recipients handle it under their own terms. Review exported files before sharing sensitive locations.
Purchases through Apple
CoordCap uses Apple’s StoreKit to load products, verify purchase entitlements and restore Pro access. Apple processes payments. The app reads Apple-signed transaction and entitlement information; we do not receive your payment-card details. CoordCap does not use a third-party purchase-management SDK.
Apple may make sales reports and diagnostics available to developers according to its services and your settings. See Apple’s privacy policy for its processing of App Store and diagnostic information.
Website and support
This website uses no analytics scripts, advertising pixels, cookies or browser storage. The hosting infrastructure still receives normal request information, such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time, to deliver and secure the website. Infrastructure logs, if retained by the host, are subject to the host’s retention and security practices.
If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments through our email provider. We use these to answer your request and resolve the issue. Please send only information needed for support. We retain correspondence as needed to handle the request, follow-up issues and any legal obligations, then delete it when no longer needed.
Purposes, legal bases and your rights
Where data-protection law applies, handling a support request is necessary to provide the help you ask for; securing and operating the website relies on our legitimate interests. Information required by law is processed to meet that obligation. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising profiles or automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal information we hold about you, and object to processing based on legitimate interests, subject to applicable law. Contact devkoosv@gmail.com. We cannot retrieve data that exists only on your device. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority, including the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Apple, grid-download infrastructure, hosting and email providers may process information in other countries under their own applicable privacy terms and transfer safeguards. Contact us if you need more information about a support request or website request.
Changes and contact
