CoordCap helps you capture, convert and export coordinates. Check the inputs, reference systems and results before using them for work where accuracy matters. These terms preserve your mandatory consumer rights.
About these terms
These terms cover the CoordCap app and coordcap.com, provided by Nicolaas Vertelman. By using them, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. For support, contact devkoosv@gmail.com.
The app’s license is subject to the license agreement supplied with your App Store download. Where no custom license is supplied, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies. These terms supplement that agreement and do not remove mandatory legal rights.
What CoordCap provides
CoordCap supports manual coordinate entry, recognition from camera input and selected images, and coordinate transformations using PROJ.
Manual conversions, copying and sharing manual results as text, and reading original coordinates are available free of charge. The built-in WGS 84 ↔ UTM workflow also includes capture, coordinate-list review, saving and export.
PRO is required to convert captured coordinates, capture and review coordinate lists, and save new results using added transformations. This includes saving manually entered results from those transformations. Added transformations may use catalog operations or custom Helmert parameters, including supported time-dependent operations.
Previously saved records remain available to view and export without PRO. Available features depend on the app version and device capabilities.
Check inputs and results
Image recognition can misread digits, signs, decimal separators and coordinate order. Device location has its own accuracy limits. Check recognized values, units, the source and target reference systems, UTM zone and hemisphere, and any required coordinate epoch.
Transformation accuracy depends on the selected operation, its area of use, available grids and source-data quality. Additional output decimals do not improve the accuracy of the source. CoordCap is a calculation aid, not a certified survey or navigation instrument. Independently validate results before using them for safety-critical decisions, legal boundaries, engineering or other consequential work.
Offline use and external services
Recognition and coordinate calculations run locally. Some operations require grid files downloaded before offline use. Grid downloads, map content, purchases and restoration may require an internet connection. Service availability and your network provider’s charges are outside our control.
PROJ, its datasets, Apple services and other third-party components retain their respective licenses and terms. Follow any applicable requirements when using or redistributing data.
PRO purchases and restoration
CoordCap PRO is offered as a one-time in-app purchase through Apple, not an automatically renewing subscription. The current localized price and applicable charges are shown before you confirm. Payment and purchase verification are handled by Apple. A purchase unlocks the PRO entitlement associated with your Apple account; it does not promise indefinite future updates or compatibility with every future device.
Use Restore purchases in the app with the Apple account used to buy PRO. Refunded or revoked purchases may no longer unlock PRO. Request eligible refunds through Apple’s purchase support. Nothing here limits statutory remedies for digital products or other mandatory consumer protections.
If you have an older subscription associated with a previous version, manage or cancel it in your Apple account settings. These terms do not cancel an existing subscription or change its billing agreement.
Your content and use
You keep your rights to your images and coordinate data. Only capture, import or share information you are entitled to use. Review results before sharing and keep your own backups of important exports. Do not use the app or website unlawfully, interfere with their operation, or infringe other people’s rights.
The CoordCap name, design and original software belong to their respective rights holders. Your use is governed by the applicable app license; third-party and open-source license rights remain unaffected.
Privacy
Our privacy policy explains on-device processing, optional permissions, grid downloads, Apple services, exports, backups, website requests and support correspondence.
Availability and liability
We aim to provide a useful and reliable app, but do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or suitability for every project. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses resulting from incorrect input, unverified results, unavailable third-party services or lost exported data.
No exclusion in these terms applies to fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or liability that cannot legally be excluded. Statutory rights concerning conformity, remedies, refunds and consumer protection remain unaffected.
Updates and ending use
We may update the app and these terms as features, services or legal requirements change. We will give notice of material changes and obtain consent where required by law. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights relating to purchases you have already made. Any discontinuation remains subject to applicable consumer obligations.
You can stop using CoordCap at any time. Deleting the app removes its local data; exported copies and backups must be managed separately. Deleting the app does not cancel any legacy subscription with Apple.
Applicable law and contact
These supplemental terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without limiting mandatory protections or rights to bring a claim in your country of residence. The applicable App Store license and Apple service terms govern their respective subject matter.
